the house is slowly coming along. I'm really excited about my yard! the dead grass is being overtaken by the new stuff. my new city of austin rain barrel is full and ready for some dry spells. the bushes and plants are trimmed and under control. I can't wait until jacob finishes up my landscaping design. that's when the house will really start to take shape. being a home owner is such a blast. its hard work, but very rewarding.

on another related note, my cement pot construction has been a learning experience. I grossly under estimated how much cement I was going to need for the project. I thought a 60# bag would be plenty... I actually took 170#s of dry cement... wow!! obviously, it is an extremely heavy outdoor pot. I don't think ill be moving it much... but, for the most part it has been a success. my last obsticle is getting the inner part of the mold out of the pot... so far my attempts have failed. ill keep you posted and add some photos when its complete.
